MISSIONS
First Baptist School has always been mission-minded: We aim to have well-rounded students who excel academically, spiritually, athletically, and socially. Part of our goal as staff is to help our children bear fruit and find joy helping others in need. In fact, we incorporated a community day in our Special Days to give the students the opportunity to “Be the Light” to members of our local nursing homes, nursing staff, hospitals, and local police department.
Year after year, we find great joy in donating items towards Operation Christmas Child! In fact, this generally is the students favorite time of the year! The students work together packing unique, individual shoeboxes with care items and gifts for children on other continents and countries. These children are presented with a shoebox and a Gospel presentation with many accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior! What a beautiful blessing to be a part of such a wonderful ministry! In 2021, FBS alone packed 208 shoeboxes!
We also participate in our town’s local Food Pantry Drive in October/November as students donate canned goods and nonperishable items to those in need.
