Letter from the Administrator
Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Our God is unchanging, but our world is not. Today, the world, now more than ever, needs strong Christians and strong Christian schools, so that our children will not waiver when the strong winds blow.
For this reason, I would like to share with you the reasons First Baptist School should be your school of choice for the education of your child. Over 40 years ago, in 1981, First Baptist School was established as a Pre-Kindergarten Program; however with the growing need for a Christian-based curriculum, the school has expanded to include Wee Threes through the Eighth grade. FBS offers a smaller student to teacher ratio allowing for a more individualized classroom environment. In our quest for excellence, FBS continues to offer a tradition of excellence in academics, spiritual development, and character enrichment as we seek to train, equip, and educate our students to impact the world for Christ.
Letter from our Pastor
Wow! The summer has flown by and we are almost ready to begin an exciting new school year. You may ask what makes the year so exciting? Our answer would be: “Opportunities”. The new year brings a great number of opportunities to invest in, encourage, and mentor your child. These opportunities are a blessing to the staff of our school, our church, and our administration. It will be our goal this year to see
your child/ren, as well as all our students: grow spiritually, mature emotionally, excel academically.
We count it a joy to be able to encourage the students of First Baptist School with the Word of God and infuse God’s Word into our overall education. Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (ESV) We believe that God’s Word will not only bless your child in their spiritual growth, but will exhort them to excel in all areas of life. Our hope is that your child will be encouraged in such a way, by what they learn here, you will hear about it each evening.
Our prayer will be: “Lord, as we strive to ‘Be the Light!’, may your light impact our students in such a way that they will never be the same. May you begin a work in them that only you may bring to completion. May you take our efforts and the seeds we plant to draw theses students closer to you. May your word encourage them and guide their steps. Further we pray for these students to excel in academically and for their lives to be blessed. In Jesus name, Amen.”
Gripped by Christ,
Pastor Shane Dismuke
