MARTHA STREETMAN
I grew up in the small town of Alvin, Texas and graduated from their high school in 1975. Life then lead me to Caldwell where I met my husband Mark in 1986, and raised our two children. I was certified and worked the following 15 years as a Medication Assistant. In the year of 2009, I was happy to join my daughter in substitute teaching here at First Baptist School. It gave me a chance to see firsthand how blessed three of my grandchildren were to attend this school for 8 years. I have since had the pleasure to serve at FBS in many other aspects from PE, daycare, snack coordinator, and for this last 6 years I have been blessed to spend my days teaching Pre-K. One of my favorite experiences is hearing them recite their weekly bible verses.
Outside of school, I enjoy camping, tending to my flower beds, spending time with family and eating Mexican food. My favorite holiday is Easter because we celebrate Jesus when he gave his life to pay for our sins, which reminds me of my favorite bible verse, John 3:16. I am most excited this school year to watch my new students shine in the light of Jesus.
