Lori Hamilton
I’m teaching 3rd – 8th Grade English, Language Arts, Reading, Spelling, Handwriting, and Writing. I’ve taught in public, private, and home school for 21 years. This is my second year teaching at First Baptist School, but I’ve been here as a parent for five years.
I’m from Bryan, Texas, and I graduated from Anderson-Shiro High School. I have a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Education) with a minor in English. I have 24 hours on my Master’s of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
I’m married to my best friend, Eric, and he keeps my feet on the ground and my heart laughing. We have five children and seven grandbabies. Maegan, is a math teacher at Rudder and soon-to-be principal. She has three babies, Kaitlyn, Rhyder, and Bradley. Ashley is a hairdresser/cosmetologist and lives in Angleton. She has three babies, Dixie, Addyson, and Parker. DJ is a sergeant in the Army and currently deployed (your prayers, please). DJ has one son, Matthew. Connor is home now. He was with DJ helping him take care of Matthew. Connor will enlist in the military in early 2023. Katie just graduated from Caldwell High School and will start classes soon to be a real estate agent.
Eric and I are Ultra Runners. We run 50 mile trail runs. He’s like a rabbit, and I’m like a turtle. We have rescue horses, and Dixie rides them in Playdays and Horse Shows. I’m a Girl Scout, a board member for Burleson County Little League Softball, and a member of A Girl and A Gun. I like to work in the yard and garden. My favorite food is Mexican food. My favorite drink is sweet tea. My favorite color is teal. My favorite dessert is chocolate covered almonds or cashews.
