BOBBIE FRERKING

This year, I will be serving as a Reading Assistant for Kindergarten through Second Grade. Originally I’m from Seguin, Tx. I received my BA in Education from Texas State University. After 20 years of teaching at other schools, I moved to Caldwell and became a teacher at FBS. I have been with FBS for 24 years now and have taught a variety of subjects, including Reading, Spelling, Bible, History and Science for 3rd to 8th graders. Knowing for my love of storytelling, I am so excited to take on this new role of introducing children to all kinds of wonderful adventures through reading. 

Outside of school, I love being Mimi to my 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. On the weekends, I love watching movies and introducing my grandchildren to the classics, including Doris Day and Cary Grant films. 

Numbers 6:24-26 is my favorite Bible verse: “The Lord bless thee and keep thee: the Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: the Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”
