CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
First Baptist School is an instrument to assist parents in carrying out the Biblical mandate to bring up their children in the “discipline and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4). We utilize a well-balanced curriculum, rooted in a distinctly Christian world view to cultivate godly affections and wisdom in our students in order to graduate virtuous men and women whose love of Christ advances the Kingdom of God.
*PSIA stands for “Private Schools Interscholastic Association” and is comparable to UIL. PSIA is the most comprehensive extra-curriculum academic program in the nation. Our students who participate in PSIA find new excitement in learning, know the satisfaction of their best performance, achieve mastery, receive recognition for academic excellence, and test their skills and knowledge. In years past this has occurred in March with the competition being held generally at ILS in Giddings, TX. More details will be sent out as they come.
